Joovv

Joovv designs and engineers red and near-infrared light therapy devices in-house, and describes itself as family-founded and family-operated with three generations overseeing the business — early orders were hand-packed from family garages. Its stated differentiator is vertical control rather than raw output: nothing is white-labeled or off-the-shelf, the company owns its own tooling and contracts manufacturers to build to its specifications, and it deliberately concentrates on the clinically studied 660nm and 850nm wavelengths rather than chasing highest-irradiance claims or stacking extra wavelengths. Joovv introduced the first at-home full-body red light therapy panel system in 2016 (Solo, Mini, Max), added a modular expandable series in 2018, the portable Joovv Go in 2019, and the Gen 3.0 modular system in 2020, and states more than 25 patents. Devices are registered as FDA Class II and independently tested by Intertek to IEC 60601 medical electrical safety standards including IEC 60601-1-11 for home environments; its scientific advisory team includes Dr. Michael Hamblin, formerly Principal Investigator at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
